Prague summertime is over and so too are the evenings perfect for enjoying Pilsner and views of the city at beloved outdoor venues like NÁPLAVKA or Containall-Stalin. However, as the days get shorter and the weather colder, the club scene is hitting again! Here are just five nighttime music venues hosting events to get excited about this autumn.

Roxy

The legendary Roxy has been at the forefront of the Prague’s club scene since it was the city’s first club to open in ‘92. Eclectic in the genre, its programme of live acts ranges from EDM to indie-rock to hip-hop. The venue is located in central Prague inside a stylish art-deco building with a funkily lit interior. They are celebrating their 15th anniversary this October with BE25, a 10-day festival that includes world-renowned artists like Goldfrapp, Andhim, Fink and Stephan Bodzin.

MeetFactory

Housed in an industrial building in Smíchov, MeetFactory is a not-for-profit interdisciplinary arts centre. Its music hall is host to some of Prague’s coolest indie and electronic music events. Just some of the big names on the bill this season are Mount Kimbie, Forest Swords and Black Lips.

Café V Lese

Café V Lese translates into English as Café in the Forest. The bar’s cozy cabin vibe is well suited to the colder months, whilst its atmospheric basement club is host to some of the more alternative music events in Prague. A highlight of their autumn programme is the Czech electro-pop artist Fiordmoss.

Archa Theatre

Archa is predominantly a contemporary theatre venue. However, this autumn it is also hosting events as part of the Struny podzimu (The Strings of Autumn) music festival. Experimental hip-hop duo, Shabazz Palaces, and Ukrainian cabaret punk group, Roses (Růže), both promise to put on interesting shows.
