Italian actor and filmmaker Carlo Pedersoli, widely known as Bud Spencer died today afternoon at the age of 86, reports said.

His son Giuseppe Pedersoli confirmed the reports.

“My father died peacefully at 18:15 and did not suffer from pain. His last words were ‘Thank you,” said his son in a statement to the Italian media.

The Italian interpreter triumphed in the cinema for his collaborations with Terence Hill, especially in the film “God forgives… I Don’t!.” The main characters of Spaghetti Westerns achieved his first great success with “They Call Me Trinity,” the 1971 film which was set in the Wild West. The two appeared in, produced and directed over 20 films together
