For the last few days, some parts of Prague’s Old Town has been matching their steps to peppy Indian music as Bollywood’s biggest superstar is in town to shoot his new film.

Named the world’s biggest movie star by Newsweek in 2008 and the second richest actor in the world in 2014, Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most successful movie stars in the world. Khan, who works in Hindi films and has a huge fan following in places far from home like Nigeria, Germany, Morocco, Spain, Russia, Malaysia and Middle Eastern countries, is in Prague to shoot his upcoming film, tentatively titled, The Ring.

The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who shot his 2011 film Rockstar in the city, and also stars actor-producer Anushka Sharma. Videos of Khan, who is also producing the film under his banner Red Chillies Production, shooting a song sequence at Charles Bridge has already gone viral in Asia. The film is touted to be a romantic road movie, with Khan playing a tour guide, and will be filmed in other parts of Europe as well. However, this is not Khan’s first professional outing to the Czech capital. Back in 1998, he had shot for a song in his film Duplicate near the National Museum and Wenceslas Square.

Both Khan and Sharma took to Instagram to share videos and photographs of their time in Prague. The film, which brings the actors together for their third screen outing, will be shot around Old Town and is expected to hit screens in India in mid-2017.
