The first refugees after the EU quotas are about to be received in the Czech Republic. The contingent expected was about seven people, but three of them have refused the resettlement.
In February other 20 refugees were about to be sent to the Czech Republic from other countries, but only seven of them managed to go through document procedure while others got rejected for security reasons.
When Prague joined the European project of relocation, the quota agreed was 1.100 refugees coming from Greece and Italy; subsequently the number has been increased to 1.591 refugees.
The total number of refugees to be relocated in the country is 2.691.
