Teachers all over the Czech Republic have founded a campaign named The End of Cheap Teachers, which reunites employees of the education sector to require an increase in wages.
Frantisek Dobsik, spokesperson of the movement, declared that they ask for at least a 10% increase of salary, which increased only by 2.2%, with an average wage being 23,579 CZK, while in other sectors the salaries were raised by 3.5%.
Even if wages raised a little, unfortunately they are not proportioned to the rising number of students, and schools are not provided with the sufficient funds to cover the increase.
The maximum aim of the union is to lead teacher to reach the pay of 34,407 CZK, 130% more than the actual salary.
Among the neighboring countries, Germany is the one with better wages conditions.
