A 30-year-old man, from Olomouc, has been sentenced to prison for making bomb threats.
He called 158, on November 21st, to make a bomb threat at the Brno train station, the next day he felt that this was not enough, so he called in a bomb threat to the main train station here in Prague. Why? He figured that if he went to jail, he would not have to repay a loan that he had.
They were able to detain this man on November 22nd while they conducted their investigation, which concluded at the end of February. Last week his sentence was announced and the compensation that he will owe. He now owes a total of 3488 CZK to the rail ways stations for police intervention(no physical damage has been claimed) plus his preexisting loan (details of which have not been made available), and he will serve 24 months in prison.
