Since the 30th of April charges for data roaming – namely the use of your phone abroad to call, browse the Internet and send SMS, is getting cheaper for European Union countries.

Since this date, whoever uses roaming will pay three/four times less than today.

Essentially, the cost will be similar to each own’s tariff plan, with the only addition of 5 cents per minute for every outgoing call, 1 cent per minute for incoming calls, 2 cents to send an SMS and 5 cents for every mega consumed to browse the Internet.

Since 2017, all the costs will be totally cancelled and phone traffic could finally be used without any additional cost, thanks to the resolution agreed between European Commission, European Parliament and EU Council to create a “euro tariff”.
