From the mid of December this year, in the center of the Czech capital fireworks and pyrotechnic shows will fall under the prohibition.
This rule was approved at the meeting of the Prague 1 City Council. Officials took into account complaints of area residents and the objections of the Czech Environmental Inspectorate. The thing is that sometimes the noise and light from the fireworks leads to the death of some waterfowl, including swans.
Earlier, there was introduced another ban, launching fireworks from pontoons on the Vltava. By December, holding a fireworks show will be allowed at 12 points in Prague.
