The Saturday half-marathon in Prague will limit the movement of cars and public transport in the city center. Some tram routes will change.

According to the police spokesman, Tomáš Gulan, “The route of the marathon will be clearly marked. Policemen will be on duty at the crossroads; they will direct the drivers to detour. We ask all motorists to follow the road signs and instructions given by the police.”

During the marathon, the streets in Prague 1, 5, 7 and 8 will be blocked. The area between the Jan Palach Square and Pařížská Street will be closed. This part of the city will be closed from Friday midnight to 4:00pm on Saturday. Čechův Bridge will be closed from 9:00am and Manesuv Bridge will be blocked from 9:30am.

Half-marathon route will mostly pass along the embankments. Participants will run out around 10:00am from Rudolfinum towards Charles Bridge; thereafter they will turn on Strakonitskaya Street, and they will return back through the Liebeni Bridge.

The end of the competition is scheduled for 1:00pm.
