The metro station at Jinonice on the B or yellow line reopens to the public. Due to the reconstruction, the metro station has been closed since January.

The leak in the Jinonice station was causing damage to the infrastructure in the walls. Repairs cost some Kč 145 million. New lighting and camera systems have been installed. Artistic glasswork by František Vízner was cleaned and put back into place.

The Jinonice metro stop opened in 1988. It was originally named Švermova after journalist and politician Jan Šverma, who was a communist activist as well as resistance fighter in World War II. Many places named after communist-era heroes had name changes after the Velvet Revolution.
