Brewing returned to the town of Kutná Hora in April. The brewery was previously owned by the Heineken group.
They will make a range of light beers in three stages – Bronze 10, Silver 11 and Golden 12, available in 0.5l bottles.
In Kutná Hora brewing began in 1573. One of the first operators was the renaissance writer Mikuláš Daczický from Heslov. After 1989, the brewery had several owners and landlords, and the last closed the brewery in June 2009. At the end of June 2015, the Kutná Hora City Council approved the sale of the brewery to the Smart Estate investor, who also renewed the Břeclav Chateau Brewery.
Now the beer from the Kutná Hora brewery is sold at around twenty restaurants in Kutná Hora and its surroundings. And the bottles are now available in approximately fifty selected stores.
