Close to the D1 motorway at Humpolec, the largest mural is being created in the Czech Republic.
Dozens of artists work day and night on an area of 1625 square meters to decorate an industrial development hall in the logistics park CTPark Humpolec. The work should be done at the latest by the end of this week, said Anna Regnerová of Nedori Communications Agency.
Mural art is aimed at large-scale wall paintings in public areas. What makes it different from street art or graffiti, which are viewed as illegal activities, mural art is generally ordered by the owner of the wall for the purpose of decorating it. The work is being created by dozens of artists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, under the guidance of the DRAWetc studio.
“We are working on a shift operation overnight, and we use light projection to speed up the work, which allows us to prepare templates overnight and we paint the mural over the day, spraying hundreds of sprays but thousands,” said Hanina Větrovcová from the organizing team.
Another planned mural will be an abstract work by the Czech artist Michal Škapy, alias Trona, which will decorate the industrial area of the CTPark Prague Airport building at the Václav Havel Airport in the spring of 2018.
