British Airways will start operating regular direct flights between Prague and London City Airport by end of October. The flights will be operated together with BA CityFlyer. Prague will be directly connected to all six international airports in London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, City and Southend).

The route will be flown six times per week with the Embraer 190 (E90) of a capacity of 98 passengers, and on Sundays with Embraer 170 (E70) of a capacity of 76 passengers. The flight to London City Airport will last about two hours.

The newly established connections are an addition to current flights to London Heathrow Airport, operated by British Airways, which fly up to five times per day. Starting October 29, when the winter flight schedule begins, Prague will be directly connected to London’s financial center. The London City Airport is connected to London’s city center by public transport. The flight will be favored by business travelers and tourists as well. Officials estimate that more than 50,000 travelers will fly the route annually.

The ticket pre-sale began July 18. The price for a one-way ticket starts at £49 (1,500 CZK).
