North Korea will host a one-month beer festival in Rason city serving locally-produced Czech-style pilsner beer from July 20 to August 20.
The “Rason Coast Beer Fest – 2017” will be held in Rason city and appears to be the first of its kind in the region. “City residents, as well as foreigners and tourists staying in the city participate in the festival which will be held with great expectation and interests of beer aficionados and tourists in the Rason city,” state spokesperson Arirang-Meari, reported.
Visitors will be able to purchase locally-produced Czech-style pilsner beer in Rason city, located near the Russia – North Korea border. “While taste a variety of beers such as Czech Pilsner beer produced in Rason city, various art performances including Korean folk and world famous songs will run along with the contests“
