Current reconstruction work is financed by Penta company and will start next week.
According to the project, the facades, restrooms and offices will be updated. The project is designed not only to update the internal facades but also to reconstruct external sites that are located on the street Havlíčkova and Na Florenci.
A new public plaza is created adjacent to the railway station, providing a gateway to the city and linking with Namesti Republiky Station on Line B of the city’s metro network.
Masaryk station will also become the future city terminus for the new airport rail link to Prague’s Vaclav Havel International Airport. The official opening is planned at the beginning of 2018.
