Czech-Swiss photographer Iren Stehli is perhaps best known for her bold black-and-white photos of a Roma woman living in Prague, taken from 1974-2001 and published in book format in 2004 as Libuna: A Gypsy’ s Life in Prague.

But she also took fascinating vintage images of Prague shops and shop windows. Shot during 70’s, the photos showcase the lean times and strange aesthetic of the era, containing an entire history of Czechoslovakia in window displays that feature everything from towering jars of cabbage to inventively arranged cotton balls.
