City councilors will approve OK Služby Praha as the lessor of the parking garages in the upcoming week. The estimated profit reaches 7.5 million CZK per year. Around 850 parking spots will be available.
The garages were built during the construction the Blanka tunnel. The parking complex was supposed to open last autumn but failed to do so due to complications in choosing a lessor. The newest opening date is set to be the end of the summer holidays.
The cost for the construction of the parking complex was included in the expenses for the tunnel, which cost the city more than 40 billion CZK. The garage has its own control center, independent from Blanka.
A second parking complex built under the Powder Tower, hosting up to 370 cars, will be in service towards the end of the year.
