Blue ribbon at Prague Zoo: mama elephant Janita gave birth to a 104 kgs male calf, which hasn’t been named yet.

The calf is particularly important, since it’s the first both conceived and born at Prague Zoo.

Zoo director Miroslav Bobek reported that the mother gave birth to the calf -her first- early Tuesday, but had to be separated for an hour from his baby after showing signs of aggression.

Visitors will be able to see the newborn since Thursday.
