After the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping, a group of public personalities decided to follow legal ways and sue Czech State for violations of constitutional and human rights.

The group, composed by former deputy justice minister Hana Marvanová and former MP Katerina Jacques, Jan Urban, spokesman for the Civic Forum, the sister-in-law of the late president Václav Havel, Dagmar Havlova, actor and director Břetislav Rychlík and senator Zdeněk Papoušek and former ministers Martin Bursík, Jan Kalvoda, Michael Kocáb and Jan Ruml.

This group, which calls itself “Citizens of Czech Republic”, totally disagrees with the foreign policy of the government with China and Russia, and complains about the violation of basic human’s rights.

They also asked for a parliamentary interrogation about the controversy.
