MBPFW, as the only fashion event in the Czech Republic with an international reach – belongs to a global network of fashion weeks organized under the auspices of Mercedes-Benz, similarly as in New York, Berlin, Sydney, Moscow, Istanbul and Mexico City.
This year’s edition will open with Shopping Night in Pařížská Street. More than 30 boutiques will exclusively introduce their novelties: “We are happy that besides local designers also world renown fashion houses and brands are involved in the fashion week schedule. Original designer fashion, as well as premium luxury prêt-à-porter both, have their place in the world of fashion and their own clientele,” says Lukáš Loskot, CEO of Prague fashion week.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 2nd to 4th will belong to the catwalk shows of Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week, which will showcase nearly twenty designers, fashion brands, and school studios.
From Tuesday to Thursday, September 5th – 7th at the Klubovna on the 2nd floor in Dlouhá Street, an exhibition of the history of Adidas Equipment “EQT – Behind The Scenes by Adidas Originals” will take place.
On Wednesday, September 6th, Manolo Blahnik’s luxurious shoes admirers can look forward to a commented tour of the Manolo Blahnik exhibition The Art of Shoes at Museum Kampa (6:30 p.m.).
On Thursday, September 7th, 7 pm, a photo book Because of fashion of a street style photographer Jakub Feranec will be launched in Fresh Labels.
Those interested in a mix of high fashion with street style are welcome to see the launch of a new limited edition of Vans sneakers created in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld. Friday, September 8th in Footshop, starting at 7 pm
The weekend September 8th and 9th is reserved for SLOU Fashion Days (SFD), a new name of the popular happening of sustainable fashion. At the premises of Holešovice Vnitroblock, all visitors can meet and shop the designers and manufacturers producing nature and people aware fashion.
