In Prague Zoo, the cable car measuring 106 meters had 7 million passengers last year. The shortest cable car in the Czech Republic has the capacity to transport up to 720 people traveling up to 3 kilometers an hour. From one stop to the next is about 2 minutes.
Developed in 1977, it is in the Zoological Gardens in Prague. The first cableway was established in 1950. In the mid-1960s, a project was designed which involved three cableways.
The first was to Hošovice Exhibition Center to the zoo, the other in the zoo, and the third between the lower and upper parts of the zoo’s premises. The project in the end only had the budget for one trackway, and the designers called it the “children’s cable car” inside the zoo.
