Following the enthusiasm of other universities like  the Greek University of Nicosia, Draper University in California, and the University of Cumbria and King’s College in the UK, also CEVRO Institut University of Prague decided to become the next university to accept Bitcoins.

From now on, students can not only pay for their tuition in Bitcoins, but they will also address the topic of cryptocurrency in their study program.

Professor Josef Šíma – Rector of the University – explained: “The choice to allow it is due to the close connection between Bitcoin and its importance in modern studies of institutional change and policy reforms, pushing his students to be innovators. The cryptocurrency is a part of debates about limits of markets, individual liberties and state regulation”.
