The third Open Square festival take place today.

The last edition of Open Square festival took place on 17 October 2015. Its aim was to present, especially to young people, prominent cultural and academic institutions located on Jan Palach Square in Prague. The festival is organized jointly by Czech Philharmonic, Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, and Prague Institute of Planning and Development.

The festival offered a rich programme of events both at the participating institutions and directly in Jan Palach Square. Visitors could visit exhibitions, lectures, workshops, presentations of academic subjects, concerts, urban walks, and panel discussions. The evening highlight of the programme was an extraordinary concert of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in the Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum.

The participating institutions offered all the events at a discount or completely free. Visitors were also able to take a look around places which are otherwise not accessible to the public.
