It has been confirmed that starting from January 2017 there will be four free public Wi-Fi hotspots around the city.
As made known by the mayor Adriana Krnáčová, the first public Wi-Fi zones will be opened in Prague Zoo, in Botanical garden, on the Petřín Hill and on Naplavka. It is planned to expand the territory of free access if the initiative will have success. For security reasons, in the above-mentioned places, the free internet can be accompanied by IP cameras.
As it was reported earlier, the administration is also considering the possibility to install Wi-Fi in the metro and at the public transport stops.
